A: This virtual Expo is a first in the amateur radio community. We want to make it available for as many hams as possible first in North America, then the rest of the World, to enjoy the speaker tracks, and to maximize the opportunity for exhibitors to attract sales and warm leads to follow up after the expo.

A: This vFairs platform is a mature expo or convention technology, used by the Fortune 500, major universities, and organizations around the World. While it uses technology similar to Zoom for webinars and guest speakers, it strives to create a fun and easy to use immersive experience for both exhibitors and attendees. They system is also "gamified" to maximize visitor engagement with the speakers and exhibitors.
A - The system is very user friendly with step by step instructions on how to put the booth together. The biggest job is having content to load on it like videos, collateral material, and white papers. Once these are gathered together, then the creating a staffing plan for the two lives days beginning August 8th and 9th is the next priority.
A: While we originally thought at the beginning that we would get the regular older demographic of active hams, along with the ARRL, we now believe that we will get many thousands of licensed hams who have never been to a hamfest or amateur radio convention. There are over 800,000 hams in the USA, mostly inactive. This may be their first opportunity to engage with amateur community.
A: The current Covid-19 Pandemic has shuttered live ham radio conferences, hamfests, and conventions, worldwide. The vFairs platform that we are using is the closest we can get to a live convention with a full exhibit floor. It is a sales platform designed to maximize customer engagement by creating an huge free event around the exhibit hall.
