Exhibit at the
QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo
August 14th and 15th, 2021

"Our participation in the QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo far exceeded expectations in regards to customer engagement, sales and overall ROI.  Over the 2 days of the Expo, we experienced the same level of customer interaction that we normally see at our larger face-to-face events, but in a virtual setting.  With the elimination of time and travel expenses normally incurred with a more traditional event, we had greater overall ROI, achieving sales levels on par with larger in person ham radio events."

Become a Sponsor or Exhibitor
Our first two Expo’s were a great commercial  success and we’ve attracted over ten thousand  amateur ham radio operators.  Most of our past sponsors and exhibitors have elected to return to each Expo.  And we continue to attract new companies that want to take advantage of our virtual “Expo”.  You can now lock in a great virtual exhibit booth (starting at $500) to get in front of  our highly attractive audience, develop deep relationships, and sell products.  There are also limited sponsorships available that gets your brand in front of all attendees and provides many opportunities to engage with ham radio operators throughout the Expo.

5 reasons why your company must be at the Expo:

Reach many new customers in addition to your traditional customer base.
  • 60% of Expo attendees don’t go to in-person national conferences and 40% don’t even attend state or local events because of distance and travel costs.  So you’ll reach thousands of new potential customers.
  • In addition, you’ll still meet the hams who normally go to a major in-person event but have also chosen to attend the Expo because of the many excellent and varied presentations.

Build deep and lasting customer relationships.
  • Even if you’ve had a blockbuster year, it's critical to build long lasting relationships with existing customers and cultivate new ones.  The world is heading back to “normal” and you can't count on Covid to drive your sales.  The Expo provides great opportunities to develop personal relationships leading to sales in the short and long term.
  • Your booth includes high quality live video lounges to have an intimate conversation with a customer or small group demonstrations.  Our sponsors report that our virtual booth conferences allow for a much better personal meeting or demonstration experience compared to an in-person event.

Get valuable prospect leads.
  • Unlike an in-person event, we track every person that stops by your booth, the images they’ve clicked on and collateral downloaded.  At the end of the Expo, we’ll provide a list (including contact information) of all your booth visitors.  You can then add them to your email list so they will continue to hear from you.

Be prepared for crowds of booth visitors at a fraction of the cost of an in-person event.
  • Exhibitors at an in-person event spend $5-$50K including travel, lodging, space, etc.  At our Expo, expect thousands of hams at your booth for a fraction of the price (booths start at $500) and no travel costs!

Make sales and money!
  • You’ll see great results at the Expo.  You can easily take orders over the Live days and you’ll see lots of orders immediately after the Expo.
"It would not be an exaggeration to say that the QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo was the highlight of 2020 for Elecraft. In a year when most physical gatherings were cancelled, the Expo gave us a chance to connect virtually and seamlessly with customers and friends.  We were pleased with the high turnout.  Our customers were able to easily access high-quality content, ask questions, and make informed decisions. The result?  An event that was a social, technical and financial success."

Exhibitor Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  We heard that there were some technical issue with the March 2021 Expo that impacted attendance and engagement.  What happened and how will you fix it?
A: While the numbers were smaller because we did not offer a free ticket in March, and we had some attendee access problems, our Sponsors and Exhibitors still had very valuable and personal engagement with expo attendees.  Over 7,000 hams still came in March for the entire weekend and almost all returned for the 30 day on-demand period. For our August 2021 Expo, we will only be using the vFairs platform, the platform that we used for the first Expo in August 2020.  We promise flawless execution for this coming Expo!  In addition, we will offer a free ticket to the exhibit hall to boost the number of visitors.

Q: What is the deadline for booth setup?
A: Friday August 6th, 2021.  Please!

Q:  I want to be able to view my vFairs booth once it is finished.  Can I still do that?
A:  Yes, if you have had access until now as an exhibitor, then you still have access to the front side of the exhibit area on vFairs.   If you can't get in, please make a request by email to Emanuela for access.

Q: Are we using the chat on the vFair platform?
A: Yes, all chat on vFairs is video, voice, or text.  Prefer video for better engagement.

Q: How do I take a customer or client off line for a private video, audio, or text chat?
A:  Whereby.com, the native video chat system, similar to Zoom, can be used for private conversations or can be made to "break out" like zoom.
Q: How is a virtual conference different than a live conference?
A: In a live conference, an attendee can walk through your booth, look at your product, engage with you, ask you a question, and walk away.  In a virtual conference, an attendee can do the same thing, but even more, can engage with your content, speak with you using text, voice, or video chat.  After the conference is over, you have a full report of every attendee who came to your booth, their contact information, what they looked at, and what interested them.

Q: How do I prepare for a virtual conference?
A: Preparation is very similar to a live conference. To have amazing results, include eye catching visuals, video demonstrations of products and technology, live Zoom like demonstrations to allow for group Q&A, and don't forget to ask for the order and follow it up.

Q: if I am a vendor representative in a booth, who do I engage with booth visitors?
A: When a visitor enters the booth using the "Chat" button, the visitor joins a video room to engage in conversation with a group or individuals.  Audio and text only are also available.

Q: Don't all of the exhibitor booth look the same?
A: A:  There is a variety of booth styles, that vary in size.  When your graphics are loaded and your colors are initiated from an infinite color palate, then your booth will not look like anyone else's.  Two booths of the same style, next to each other can look completely different.
